The next public investigation event at Castle Rising will be on Saturday July 14th 2012.  Ghost Hunters International filmed at Castle Rising in April 2011 for an episode in their next series, word is they found the place very interesting, why not come on an event and see for yourselves!

 

Why not arrive early and have a tasty meal in the pleasant surroundings of the Black Horse Inn, Castle Rising? This will hopefully set you up for the evening/night's Investigation. On production of your event ticket you will receive a 15% discount on the price of your meal! (offer valid for the evening of the ticket date only, & does not include drinks)

For established Paranormal Investigation Groups wishing to attend at Castle Rising Castle for an exclusive night time event your booking can be made through Mystic Worlds, who apart from NGRIT have been given sole access rights for paranormal research events at this "active" venue.

DISCLAIMER

All visitors to Castle Rising Castle after dark do so entirely at their own risk.

All event attendees must be aged 18 years and over.

 CANCELLATION POLICY

Both Norman Fahy and Mystic Worlds reserve the right to cancel an event due to unforeseen circumstances beyond their reasonable control, or if insufficient booking numbers on a particular event make the running of said event unviable. In such cases ticket purchasers will be given the option to book onto another event, or request a full refund. No refunds for other reasons can be given, although if you find you cannot attend we will if possible transfer the ticket(s) to another person(s) providing they are aged 18 and over.

 SAFETY GUIDELINES

There is a genuine need to observe a variety of guidelines aimed at reducing the risk of personal injury.

Visitors should be aware that there are uneven floors, low arches, steep banks, narrow staircases and other hazards which might be found in a castle built in the twelfth-century.

As most tours and events will be conducted in low light conditions and often total darkness, visitors are advised to stay together as a group and resist the temptation to wander individually. Moderate intake of alcohol before a castle night visit may seem natural, but zero in-take would be considered ideal as it could reduce the chances of mishap in dark conditions.

 HEALTH ISSUES & PHOBIAS

Those with heart conditions and/or a fear of darkness are seriously advised not to register for castle night tours etc.

 PERSONAL COMFORT & SAFETY

Visitors are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes and dress in layers for warmth as the castle can be very cold even during summer months. Please bring a hot flask and simple energy food such as biscuits to sustain you.

 FLASH PHOTOGRAPHY

The temptation to take random flash photographs should be avoided as it can cause temporary blindness to other visitors. There will be specific periods set aside for flash photography.

 FINAL STATEMENT

Special night access to Castle Rising Castle has kindly been granted by Lord Howard of Rising, the owner; please respect the site, its history and act responsibly throughout the night.
